Legislative Update
HB 2371 Disposal of Abandoned Property. The Legislative committee has worked hard over the past few years to propose changes to the statutes that deal with disposal of abandoned or found property. We have been working with State Representatives Eddie Fransworth, Steve Urie and Cecil Ash. The proposed changes should make it easier for P & E departments to dispose of abandoned/found property.   read more...

WHO ARE WE?

THE ARIZONA ASSOCIATION FOR PROPERTY AND EVIDENCE (A.A.P.E.) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1992 to provide a network to promote the professionalism of the property and evidence function within the state.OBJECTIVES

  • Professionalism and standardization of property management and its function
  • Promote high standards of performance
  • Exchange of information relative to the property and evidence function
  • Educate members of legislation affecting property and evidence

WHAT WE OFFER

Quarterly meetings offering speakers on current issues involving property, sharing ideas among members, and more

  • Annual training seminar covering topics pertaining directly to Arizona
  • LOCK AND KEY, the Association newsletter published quarterly
  • Personal consulting, as needed
  • A response team, made up of members currently working in the property and evidence field, that are available to assist with special tasks.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Three types of memberships are offered:

  • ACTIVE for persons working directly in the property and evidence function
  • ASSOCIATE for persons not directly involved in the property and evidence function
  • CORPORATE for businesses wishing to support the Association.

  • ACTIVE, $30.00
  • ASSOCIATE, $30.00
